Fiji - Revival happening now

News from Larry Taylor - 12.05.2010
Every week here in Fiji we have seen more remarkable healing miracles. On Sunday night there was a packed house at the church. Our friend David Aingimea from Nauru instructed the people how to pray for one another. Then he led them in prayer for healing from the top of their heads all the way down one step at a time. When they finished praying over 100 people raised their hands to say they had been healed. One lady said that she had been to her doctor with a lump in her breast. Her doctor told her to come to the meetings where Jesus was healing the sick.

Today on the street in Nadi a lady stopped us to talk about the meetings. She is a Catholic, but she had attended the Sunday night service and joined with everyone praying for their "partners". She told us that she didn't believe in any of the things that were happening in the meeting, but when she followed instructions and commanded sickness to leave, her partner was healed! She was so amazed that she responded to the altar call that night to receive for herself.

Some of the most remarkable miracles this week have happened for team members visiting here from the USA and Australia. Carol was back was touched and straightened for the first time in her life. The curve at the base of her spine is now normal, healed from a condition she has had from birth. Another team member from Texas was released from all the symptoms of Lyme's disease and for the first time in 6 years slept through the night with no medication and no pain

God continues to move here remarkably. Breakthroughs are coming every night now. Reports of glory dust, visions and angelic encounters are now common. Most importantly, scores of salvations are happening every week. We are scheduled to remain here for two more weeks and there is no sign that the anointing is lifting. Thank you for your support and prayer.

Background:
Fiji became independent in 1970 after nearly a century as a British colony. Democratic rule was interrupted by two military coups in 1987 caused by concern over a government perceived as dominated by the Indian community (descendants of contract laborers brought to the islands by the British in the 19th century). The coups and a 1990 constitution that cemented native Melanesian control of Fiji led to heavy Indian emigration; the population loss resulted in economic difficulties, but ensured that Melanesians became the majority. A new constitution enacted in 1997 was more equitable. Free and peaceful elections in 1999 resulted in a government led by an Indo-Fijian, but a civilian-led coup in May 2000 ushered in a prolonged period of political turmoil. Parliamentary elections held in August 2001 provided Fiji with a democratically elected government led by Prime Minister Laisenia QARASE. Re-elected in May 2006, QARASE was ousted in a December 2006 military coup led by Commodore Voreqe BAINIMARAMA, who initially appointed himself acting president but in January 2007 became interim prime minister. Since taking power BAINIMARAMA has neutralized his opponents, crippled Fiji's democratic institutions, and refused to hold elections. (source: World Factbook - CIA)
