This Side of the Cross Music
Producing and Recording Contemporary Christian Music
As a producer for independent label "This Side of the Cross" , I'm very excited about the future of Christian art in general and especially the music that's coming out of the Body in these days. It's no wonder there are so many talented and creative writers and performers rising up from the Body of Christ - our Father is The Creator - and we, His children, are just doing what's in our DNA.
It is an exciting time to be involved in the music industry, with world-wide access to music like never before, digital tools that give you a recording studio on your Mac, or an orchestra in your PC, there's real power to the individual and independent music creators across the globe. As God continues to pour out His amazing favour upon us, donwloading creative energy, new ideas, new sounds, it's very satisfying to be in that place where we are sitting under the torrent!
I do trust you will enjoy what This Side of the Cross is recording and producing over the years to come and that you will support us in our endevour to provide inspiring and God anointed music to your ears and your hearts.

Biography:
Born in Townsville Kathryn grew up in Cairns North Qld before moving to Brisbane to study singing at the Conservatorium of Music. Daughter of musical parents Kathryn’s mother began teaching her piano at the age of 3 and she started formal piano lessons at the age of 5. She grew up in a spirit filled Anglican Church very much involved in worship and music from a young age. Kathryn began singing at church and at the age of 15 her parents decided to give her formal singing lessons. Thus began her career in singing. Kathryn successfully competed in Eisteddfods, performed lead roles in musicals both at school and with the Cairns musical society. She was also a member of the Cairns Youth Orchestra as a violist and played in a String quartet.
Upon graduating from high school she successfully auditioned and was accepted into the opera program at the Conservatorium of music. Here she continued to build her skills but found that opera was not the style of music she wished to pursue.
Her heart had always been for worship. Graduating from the Conservatorium with a Dip Mus, she continued to seek other avenues to use her music to serve God.
She served at various churches in the role of music/worship director and grew in her understanding of worship and deepened her relationship with God.
After spending some time in Melbourne working she moved back to Brisbane and started attending a Baptist Church at Carindale. Through mutual friends here she met and married her husband Peter. Peter and Kathryn then moved to Logan and found their way to Park Ridge Baptist Church where they have been in fellowship for 11 years. Kathryn is a busy mum to 3 boys, Zac, Harrison, and Benjamin, as well as running a teaching studio, teaching piano and singing from home.
Kathryn is regularly involved in leading worship at her local church and is passionate about facilitating people to intimately experience and encounter the presence of God. Kathryn also has a heart for leading children into encountering God and has been active in children’s ministry and is currently ministering with Children of Destiny an interdenominational group dedicated to training children in worship and growing them in their gifts and relationship with God.
Kathryn’s primary passion is for her heavenly Father and worshipping him in song.
“There is just nothing on earth that beats an encounter with God. Seeing him, hearing him, worshipping him, and experiencing his presence. I love being in that exchange between heaven and earth and the worship that flows from that exchange. There is just no other place to be and no other place that brings as much life and joy. I agree wholeheartedly with the psalmist “Better is one day in the courts of the Lord than a thousand elsewhere!”
