Kevin’s latest project “Kindness” is a heart cry of the Father’s kindness.
It has a very modern and creative sound, but a worshipful passion.
I'm still trying to get my head around what's happening. I've been trying to create a CD for the past 15 years and it seems like God has just put everything into hyper drive. I keep telling everyone it's not something I need, but something God wants. I pray that someway, somehow "Kindness" touches you and creates a greater hunger for the Father.
The name of the CD came from a Sunday morning service. Rick, my pastor was speaking from 2 Samuel 9, the story of Mephibosheth. King David after all he had been through, just to get to the throne, decides to show God's kindness to the house of Saul. By the end of the service I found myself in tears and needing to know more about this man I called Mephib. I began to study and understand where he was coming from and how he must have felt. He spent most of his life hiding in fear of being found by the current king. After all the house of Saul wasn't exactly in the running for a popularity contest with the house of David. Then the knock at the door came and with in minutes Mephib is sitting at the Kings table, eating and drinking His wine. Kindness, God's Kindness. How amazing is the Father to us. He allows us to come as we are and eat of his food and drink of His wine.
I have a great respect and much love for a women that I wish I could have known. Her life was one of kindness and living for others.
Be kind and merciful
Let no one ever come to you without coming away better and happier.
Be the living expression of God's kindness:
kindness in your face,
kindness in your eyes,
kindness in your smile, kindness in your warm greeting.
In the slums, we are the light of God's kindness to the poor.
To children, to the poor, to all who suffer and are lonely,
give always a happy smile -
Give them not only your care, but also your heart.

What A Smile He Has - Kevin Theriault
We all hear these words being spoken from time to time about people doing good things for others. Words like "Random acts of kindness", "help someone who can't help themselves" or "The free hug campaign" and my favorite "No strings attached". Do we really know what we're saying or have all these words become just words. Don't get me wrong, its all good and I'm sure we have all seen some good from all of this. I just think we've missed something. I was watching a story about Jesus one night while at home.
Please understand, I've been around church most of my life, some years good and some not so good. Most of the movie I knew but for some reason I found myself rewinding this one part over and over again. It was the way I had pictured Jesus to be. The Jesus that was in my mind and heart. Let me try to set this up for you. Jesus, walks in to some city and speaks to this large crowed of people and heals everyone. Sound great, Right. It's what he does after, that I had to keep rewinding the movie. He leaves the meeting and goes to the tax collectors house. The house is packed with people no one at the time would have wanted to hang out with. Jesus is invited in. He sits down on a pillow and begins to eat and drink and just hangs out with them. He doesn't look at them any different then the ones at the first meeting. He laughs with them, talks with them, maybe tells them a joke. My Jesus tells great jokes. They all knew who he was, and they all wonder what he's doing there, but no one asks Him. Then someone say's, Jesus, speak to us. Was this His plan? or did He just want to be with them? He began to tell them of His Fathers love and how they could be His friend. All He did was smile at them. He didn't care about their past, how they made their living or the last time they had been to temple (church) He just smiled at them. He made them feel special. inside they said "Jesus wants to hang out with us." What a smile he had. I started to cry and for the first time I got it.
Its his smile when we smile
